Just like himself, the Poitras style has evolved, yet still retains a characteristic fluidness of line and shape. After 30 years spent dressing both men and women, Poitras began taking a more multidisciplinary approach, transposing his art to interior design. Strong supporter of Québec fashion, he received the Medal of the Order of Canada in 1995 and the Griffe d’or, for his entire body of work, in 2000. Today, through his designs, conferences and writings, Jean-Claude Poitras continues to communicate his passion for fashion and love of beauty
